It’s Women’s Month, and I’m taking this as my excuse to show some love to women-owned hotels around the world. Think: places I’d actually check into myself, because yes, I have standards. Welcome to Angel’s Little Black Book: Women-Owned Hotels Bucket List—a curated mix of dreamy coastlines, city escapes, and cinematic getaways that make you feel like the main character.
Save it, drool over it, or start planning your next trip—you do you. These are the stays worth your time, money, and passport.
Soft Life Coastlines & Nature Escapes
Girls just wanna have fun! And sometimes that fun should be in the sun, on the beach, or somewhere near nature. Here are my top choices for your next "long walk on a beach".

Hotel Santa Caterina — Amalfi Coast, Italy
Cliffside luxury with views that’ll make your Instagram jealous. Italian charm, lemon trees, and terraces that practically beg for a morning espresso. This gem blends classic Italian elegance with modern comfort. Think terraces with breathtaking Amalfi Coast views, lemon gardens, infinity pools, and a restaurant that’ll make you wonder if you even need to leave the property.

Spice Island Beach Resort — Grenada
Barefoot luxury meets rum-spiked sunsets. his private beach resort is all about barefoot luxury. Overwater spa, infinity pool overlooking turquoise waters, rum tastings, and sunset dinners on the sand make this the ultimate Caribbean getaway.

Stonefield Villa Resort — Saint Lucia
These hillside villas, tucked into lush jungle, offer unmatched privacy, tucked into lush jungle with sweeping views of the iconic Piton you’ll never forget. Amenities include private plunge pools, open-air Jacuzzis, jungle trekking, and in-villa dining that feels straight out of a travel magazine.

Batoka Zambezi Sands River Lodge — Zambezi River, Zimbabwe
This safari lodge combines adventure with luxury. Think luxury tents with private decks, wildlife right outside your window, guided river safaris, and a pool with a view of the Zambezi River—perfect for sipping something cold after a day in the bush.
Cultural City Escapes
For the girls who want a little culture with their luxury. These stays put you right where things are happening—art, food, history, and just enough chaos to remind you you’re not on a beach somewhere. The itinerary? Museums, markets, a good outfit, and absolutely no rushing.

Bingham Riverhouse — Richmond, London, UK
A riverside retreat just minutes from London’s energy. Stay in a stylish room with river views, unwind in the cozy bar, or wander the charming town. Nearby: take a boat ride on the Thames, stroll through Richmond Park, or pop into Kew Gardens for a floral escape.

Jnane Tamsna — Marrakech, Morocco
A serene riad surrounded by olive groves, blending Moroccan design with lush gardens and a pool that’s perfect for lounging. Nearby adventures: wander the souks for handmade treasures, sip mint tea in Jemaa el-Fnaa, or book a day trip to the Atlas Mountains.

iKhaya Lodge — Cape Town, South Africa
An intimate lodge tucked in a scenic valley with mountain views and private decks. In the area: hike Table Mountain, explore Cape Point, visit the vibrant V&A Waterfront, or take a wine-tasting tour through Stellenbosch.

Hotel Figueroa — Los Angeles, USA
Historic glamour meets modern comfort with a rooftop pool and lively bar. Nearby adventures: stroll the Venice Boardwalk, museum hop at LACMA, sip cocktails in West Hollywood, or drive up Mulholland for sunset views over the city.
Main Character Escapes (Movie-Inspired Getaways)
Did you really think I wouldn't take a trip into the movies? For when a regular trip isn’t enough and you need a full storyline. These are the destinations that feel like scenes—where you wander a little slower, dress a little better, and romanticize your life just a bit more than usual. Blame the movies.

57 Nord — Scottish Highlands, UK
Time travel is not necessary if you want to stay in one of these remote cabins. The dramatic landscapes are right out of Outlander and you will enjoy the kind of quiet that makes you feel like you’ve disappeared on purpose. Spend your days exploring castles, hiking through misty hills, and ending the night by a fire with something strong in your glass.

Blue Apple Beach — Cartagena, Colombia
This is the perfect place to sit and get lost in the pages of a good book. A laid-back island escape with personality—think beach club vibes, colorful design, and music always somewhere in the background. Explore Cartagena’s Old Town, take a boat out to the Rosario Islands, and fully lean into your adventurous side. Hopefully your trip will be less chaotic than the characters in Romancing the Stone.

Es Princep — Mallorca, Spain
No matter where you are, "you should be in Mallorca". Elegant, sun-drenched, and effortlessly romantic. Lounge by the rooftop pool, wander Palma’s old town, and take a sunset walk along the marina like you have nowhere else to be. This is a great contender for my Indiscreet inspired getaway.

Bairro Alto Hotel — Lisbon, Portugal
Right in the heart of Lisbon, this stay puts you steps away from tiled streets, vintage trams, and rooftop views. Spend your time getting lost on purpose, café hopping, and catching golden hour from literally anywhere. Channel Jab Harry Met Sejal and shout out your frustrations to the sea. I understand it's quite cathartic.
Whether you’re leaning into soft life, chasing culture, or fully stepping into your main character era, these are the kinds of stays that make a trip feel a little more intentional. And a lot more memorable.
If one of these has already made it to your “I need to go” list, you already know what to do—send it to me and let’s turn it into a real trip.
